The cover represents Jane’s inner fire and strenght, the bird that cannot be ensnared, as much as foreshadows the symbolical fire of rebirth that is present towards the end of the book.

This cover is inspired by paper cutouts, as I found the technique relevant in representing the encapsulating fire. While the cover is done digitally, it is inspired by a mini-papercut I did myself.
I wanted this book cover to be genderless in its colours and attract more people towards this classic, highlighting Jane’s life story rather than her love story.
